These bags in spanish mochil@s, conceived in Bogotá and crafted by a group of women weavers of Arhuaco descent in Pueblo Bello, in the Sierra Nevada, are inspired by the square spiral @ symbol. This motif, with its meaning of "located at" or "directed to," represents real-time connection and the exchange of information. In today’s context, where the physical and digital worlds intertwine, the @ symbol is reinterpreted in the Arhuaco backpacks to symbolize the home or "body-house" of a person, reflecting their nomadic identity in a globalized world. This community of artisan women, based in Pueblo Bello, weaves with ancestral knowledge passed down to them from a young age, continuing to share and expand it through the emerging School of Knowledge initiative.
